# Double Click Test > Browser-based mouse diagnostics and click-speed tools for people investigating unintended double clicks, gamers measuring clicks per second, and mouse enthusiasts. The official website is https://doubleclicktest.xyz (English by default); French, German, Italian, and Spanish versions are also available. ## Usage and results 1. Open a tool and use its test area. Inputs are mouse-button presses or wheel events, with settings such as test duration or the repeat threshold; no file upload is required. 2. For the homepage double-click test, deliberately press the same button 25 times. The first press locks the button and threshold for that round. The default threshold is 80 ms, adjustable from 20 to 200 ms before starting. After the quick round, an extended test can continue to 100 total presses. 3. Review accepted presses, flagged intervals, minimum gap, and the press log. Export the homepage results as a CSV download, or reset to test again. Other tools display button counts, clicks per second (CPS), or scroll-event measurements. ## Access and limitations - The public tools currently require no account, payment, or installation. The service is free to use, supported by advertising, and has no paid subscriptions. Interactive tests require JavaScript and mouse events exposed by the browser. - Short intervals are candidate repeat signals, not proof of a worn switch or another specific hardware fault. Retest in another browser, port, or computer and consult the troubleshooting guide. - Results depend on hardware, software, browser event handling, and clicking technique. Buttons intercepted by the operating system or browser may not reach the test. Scroll measurements use browser wheel events, not physical wheel revolutions or hardware polling rate. CPS tools measure registered clicks; they do not verify a clicking technique or predict performance in a game. ## Files, privacy, and storage - The tools compute results in the browser and do not accept uploaded files. The homepage press log stays in page memory and is cleared on reset or reload; its CSV is generated locally and saved to the user's device. There is no account-based test-history storage. - Click-speed tools and the scroll test store best scores by duration in browser local storage. Preferences such as theme may also persist locally; clearing browser site data removes locally stored values. - The site integrates Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Google AdSense. Homepage diagnostic analytics include summary counts, verdicts, and threshold buckets; the dedicated analytics events do not include raw press timestamps or the exported CSV. Browser-local computation does not mean the website has no third-party data collection. - Hosting systems may log request and device information. Contact messages contain information the sender chooses to share. The Privacy and Cookie Policies describe collection, sharing, retention, and browser controls; they do not specify a fixed retention period. ## Tools - [Double Click Test](https://doubleclicktest.xyz): Guided same-button interval test with CSV export. - [Mouse Button Test](https://doubleclicktest.xyz/mouse-test): Visual feedback and counts for left, middle, right, back, and forward button events. - [Click Speed Test](https://doubleclicktest.xyz/click-speed-test): Timed CPS tests with 1, 5, 10, 30, 60, or 100 second durations. - [Scroll Wheel Test](https://doubleclicktest.xyz/scroll-test): Timed browser wheel-event measurements. - [Right Click Test](https://doubleclicktest.xyz/right-click-test): Timed right-button CPS measurement. - [Click Counter](https://doubleclicktest.xyz/click-counter): Total and per-button press counts without a timer. - [Jitter Click Test](https://doubleclicktest.xyz/jitter-click-test): Timed CPS practice with jitter-clicking guidance. - [Kohi Click Test](https://doubleclicktest.xyz/kohi-click-test): Timed CPS practice with Minecraft PvP context. - [Butterfly Click Test](https://doubleclicktest.xyz/butterfly-click-test): Timed CPS practice with butterfly-clicking guidance. - [Drag Click Test](https://doubleclicktest.xyz/drag-click-test): Timed CPS practice with drag-clicking guidance. ## Guide and support - [Double-click troubleshooting guide](https://doubleclicktest.xyz/how-to-fix-double-click): Retesting, settings, connections, cleaning, and repair or replacement considerations. - [About](https://doubleclicktest.xyz/about): Product background and the independent developer. - [Contact](https://doubleclicktest.xyz/contact): Support and feedback channels. ## Policies - [Privacy Policy](https://doubleclicktest.xyz/privacy): Data collection, sharing, and retention. - [Terms of Service](https://doubleclicktest.xyz/terms): Access conditions and diagnostic disclaimers. - [Cookie Policy](https://doubleclicktest.xyz/cookies): Cookies, local storage, advertising, and user controls.
